Rita Numerof, Ph.D., President of Numerof & Associates, Inc. (NAI), was interviewed on accountable care organizations in this month’s issue of St. Louis Medical News. During her interview, she described ways that providers can improve accountability for healthcare cost and quality with or without an ACO.

She explains that “[S]hared (administrative and clinical) accountability is possible with or without an ACO if organizations set cost and quality of care goals that go hand in hand. They cannot be addressed independently.”
