NAI President, Rita E. Numerof, Ph.D., moderated a panel discussion for the Dallas business community, entitled Healthcare Renaissance: Moving Toward a Market-Driven Model of Care. Joining her was Cancer Treatment Centers of America President and CEO, Steve Bonner, who was recently named one of Modern Healthcare’s “100 Most Influential People in Healthcare.” During the session, they discussed the need for a fundamentally different business model in healthcare — and the role of businesses and consumers in driving transformative change.

“When you get a lot of change, not surprisingly you get an incredible amount of resistance,” Numerof said. “Businesses need to demand transparency and accountability in health care and help create informed consumers.”
