An engaging, insightful speaker, Jill brings to her engagements deep experience as a surgeon, author and consultant. She’s worked for more than 25 years across healthcare, and understands the challenging issues facing healthcare today.

Jill is no armchair theorist; she speaks from hands-on experience solving the problems of healthcare clients.  At a time when profound change is reshaping healthcare, Jill leads organizations in developing the new internal infrastructure, capabilities and processes needed to adapt successfully.  She also helps them manage physician alignment and build leadership, as she sets up organizations for success at the intersection of clinical and administrative concerns.

Jill has appeared before a broad cross-section of healthcare organizations on topics ranging from ACO’s, bundled payment, transparency, population health, and business model redesign, to change management, care pathways and monetizing the value of care models.  These have included the Center for Healthcare Governance, the Healthcare Financial Management Association, associations such as the Missouri Hospital Association and the American Medical Rehabilitation Providers Association. She writes extensively on industry issues, and is frequently quoted in the news media.

Jill graduated magna cum laude from Michigan State University, College of Veterinary Medicine.  She completed her surgical and medical internship at the University of Pennsylvania and her surgical residency at the University of Tennessee.  Her PhD, also from the University of Tennessee, is in cellular and molecular biology.
